Very FAST 2.8 Lens....might not be as SHARP as a 3.5-5.6 lens??? True or not? - canon fast sharp lens
Very often, I think to put down so much money for a Canon 40D ... say your best source for a longer opening of the fixed lens ... say, a 35-105 f2.8, which comply with a 35-105 slow F3.5-5.6 (Example)
Is it true that the fast lens is not really so bad? I buy the target is a little slower? I have also heard that the camera like the Canon 40D pictures taken not so much at f2.8 anyhow not ... Is that true?

Have you ever seen the word "nonsense"?
Some people are called "Measurbators" who spend most of their lives compare with this, but never use this or that. Who cares?
The truth is that if a lens is the image of the "real world" where you live is a fine lens. Some people really need a "Canon L-targets to buy but in truth, many lenses, so that others can see the red tape and think they are professionals.
This happens all the time, not just in photography. I have a neighbor who bought a set of tools for Mac, I do not even know what you think pays for this round of chromium, but what do you think? I wanted to learn to oil in your car every 3000 miles, I took on while you change again. What? Expect a miracle that all these "pro" tools of a mechanic?
I have four lenses, "quick". There are moments in which to keep the action open to low for my shutter speed and ISO. Sometimes I useopen to the selective use of depth of field. With all the bokeh, who can say if the edges are smooth? Who cares? ... Oops, I forgot .... The measurebaters .. right.

The main advantage of constant aperture lens, the light you do not miss like zoom, wide open, from 35mm to 105mm. Variable with the opening goal, such as zoom, very open, 105mm@f5.6 loses 35mm@f3.5 to 1-1/3 stops. So if your 35mm@f3.5 shutter speed 1 / 125, shutter speed is reduced 105mm@f5.6 ~ 1 / 40 sec. With the constant f2.8 aperture, the shutter speed the same as you from 35mm to 105mm zoom.
With the same aperture throughout the zoom range is also useful if you use the lens for portraits. Http: Visit / / www.shutterbug.com and the nature of "things by Steve Bedell" in the search box. His article "Get It Right .. In The House" was published in May 2008.
Bottom line? If you can afford it, get the first goal constant.

I would not say Tamron and Sigma are cheap ($ 400), but not as sharp as Canon
Normally, the maximum aperture of f8.0 is
Where did you hear that? F/2.8 cheap as Sigma Tamron are very soft and open, but Canon's are sharper than all the other goals, and their "professional L" line. Watch the 70-200mm f/2.8 vs 70-300mm. The AF 70-200mm is much better than the 70-300mm is sharper than the 70-300mm open.
So no, the glasses are very sharp compared to open almost to the level of consumers' economic interests lenses.
Are you better off, always a goal, a little slower? Only you can answer that. Money wisely, then I may have a better Opit. But usually not my own 2,8 's for the sport, and I can not take less than most of my games are the games of football in high school, when it comes, f/3.5 much I get too much motion blur . That is what it is and what their purpose. If you need speed to get af/2.8 is unmatched. If you do not and you just want a lens for all general-purpose 70-300mm is good, but a compromise in sharpness.
The 40D shoots with the f/2.8 is better in other targets that are not. You have your informationtion reversed.
